Story[]

SPOILER WARNING: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Cecil became part of the clandestine operation to find the missing king of Rune-Midgarts. Their investigations led them to the city of Lighthalzen, where they split up in order to cover more area. She later joins up with Howard Alteisen, both getting little to no information for their mission. They meet up with Margaretha Sorin on the outskirts of Lighthtalzen and Cecil suspects that the city has absolutely nothing to do with their objective. Howard uses the opportunity to express his love for Cecil, which earns him a Land Mine from the sniper. After Margaretha heals up Howard, Seyren's Pecopeco runs off and the three of them are then approached by a Schwarzwald guard who leads them to an underground bunker to meet up with the rest of their group.

Cecil, Margaretha, and Howard are assumed to have been drugged with sleeping gas and taken by Rekenber scientists. Cecil was implanted with a Rune Stone (imitation of Ymir's Heart Piece) and placed in a holding tank to be observed. She awakens and manages to break out of her tank, killing all of the scientists in the area and taking whatever documents she could get her hands on. She escapes and reads the information she found, learning that she has been implanted with a Rune Stone and that those who die to their core start to duplicate themselves and become stronger in the process. She suddenly hears a noise and observes Wolfchev coming out of a room with Ygnizem Cenia. Using an air duct, she sneaks into the room they came out of and discovers that an in-depth amount of information has been researched on every member of their group and that they were intercepted in order to be captured. Cecil is astounded that Wolfchev has so much clout as to be able to execute these plans and becomes frustrated that their mission has been sidelined by getting kidnapped themselves. Cecil accidentally activates the security camera feeds in the room and finds Seyren and Howard fighting for their lives while Eremes, Keyron, and Margaretha are holed up in the morgue. Upon closer inspection, Cecil sees that Margaretha has already cloned herself twice, indicating that Margaretha has already died. She also saw Seyren's body next to Margaretha's, which also meant that Seyren is dead and that the one fighting with Howard is actually his clone. She punches the camera feed, angry that even after death, Margaretha's clone can still smile. She becomes determined to use her core to kill Wolfchev if she's destined to die from the experiment.

Cecil tracks down Seyren's clone and Howard and aids them in fighting off Ygnizem. Once they see an opportunity, they flee to regroup with Cecil taking out every hidden camera they come across to keep Wolfchev from finding them. They hide out in a room and Cecil exchanges information with Seyren, concluding that even the researchers in the bunker are part of Wolfchev's experiment. Realizing that Seyren's clone doesn't know that he's a clone, Cecil organizes every document they found into a package and tasks the clone with holding on to the evidence. The Seyren replica agrees, asserting that he will look for Wolfchev while Cecil and the others continue their search for King Tristan. Cecil counters that it's more important to let the world know of what happened to them as Wolfchev has the potential to take over the world with the experiment he's running. She adds that Seyren is the only one who can do it since his Pecopeco ran off so the clone would be able to contact it to take the evidence back to Rune-Midgarts. Seyren's clone protests leaving his companions behind, but Cecil insists that he leave Wolfchev to them as it would take all their power to get past Ygnizem as the vicious mind is what stands between them and the way out of the underground laboratory.

The three of them go to confront Ygnizem and Wolfchev, supported by the clones of Margaretha, Eremes, and Keyron. They manage to defeat Ygnizem, but Wolfchev escapes with a Butterfly Wing before they could arrest him. Once Seyren's clone comes to term with what he really was, he decides to spend his last moments to escape with the evidence as Cecil and the others make one last attack to break out of the laboratory. Before she strikes, Cecil apologizes to Howard for not being the romantic type he desires. Howard responds that fighting alongside her is the most romantic thing she could possibly do for him. Cecil dies after unleashing the full force of her core.[1]
