Forum:RO to be Revived in Vietnam

|The original vRO servers closed in 2007 due to real money trade issues. Although efforts were made to reopen it back up in 2008, the servers finally went down for good in 2011. Since then, Vietnam players have been stuck with playing RO on other servers that were able to service the wider southeast Asia area. All that will change as in July of 2018, GRAVITY announced that they are planning to re-launch RO in Vietnam, but with one very enticing caveat:
Source: SEC Report
No, this is not an April Fool's joke. Following up on a previous report on this, Vietnam will officially be the first foreign region to get a taste of the Zero edition of RO for their revival. Subsequent SEC reports have yet to reveal when vRO will be reopened, so it is still unknown as to when Vietnam players will be able to experience RO in their home region once again.
However, this would mean that GRAVITY is now supporting 3 commercial versions of Ragnarok Online: Renewal, Revo-Classic, and Zero. Not only are they supporting 3 commercial versions of the game, but they have to tailor each version to each region's servers on top of that. This is a very counter-intuitive and laborious way to manage an online game, as that requires the developers to keep extremely detailed documentation of each region's RO servers in accordance to the development of the 3 commercial versions of RO. And they've already proven that they're entirely incapable of doing just that back when the Renewal version of RO was the only version they had to support. It has been speculated that the distribution of the Revo-Classic version of the game may have been intended as a gauge to decide if a hybrid of pre-Renewal and Renewal RO would be more profitable than a straight up modernization of RO as they have done with the new Zero edition. Although Revo-Classic servers have attracted nostalgic players back, it did little to retain interest, especially given the amount of content available in the game is much less than what is expected of a 16-year-old MMORPG compared to other MMORPGs that have also lasted for 10+ years.
