Herman von Efesiers is the captain of the Prontera Chivalry. He is in charge of Knight initiations for budding Swordsmen and Swordswomen. He, along with six other knights at the chivalry, are tasked with testing swordsmen and swordswomen on the following qualities: swordsmanship, knowledge, strength, etiquette, modesty, and character. Once a candidate meets their approval, he/she is promoted to the status of knights of Rune-Midgarts.[1]

After King Tristan Gaebolg III of Rune-Midgarts goes missing, Herman calls upon Seyren Windsor and elite adventurers from other guilds to find the monarch. He is forced to explain the situation to Seyren twice on account of the lord knight not paying attention the first time. Once Seyren fully understands his mission, Herman sends him on his way.[2] It is unsure he ever learns what happened to Seyren and the others.
