The Plain of Ida is a wide desert region that surrounds the northeastern half of Rael. The terrain consists of uneven layers of earth with patches of dry grass. Dead trees and desert shrubs lay scattered about all over.
Some Normans have built homes on the plain, although they are very few and far in between.

- Ida may possibly be derived from Old Norse 'ið' meaning 'deed' or 'action'. In Old English, the name means 'work' or 'labour'.

- Plain of Ida was modified to a 45 - 105 zone to fit with the new level cap of 150. This area was originally a level 25 - 50 zone.
