Objectives[edit | edit source]

Learn about Refinement from Refinery Owner Hans.

Summary[edit | edit source]

"Hello. My name is Hans, leading the next generation of refining culture in Rune-Midgarts. I recently entered this market. It is not easy to operate without established customers, so I do the advertising myself.

Are you interested in refining to make your items stronger?

[Refining? Is it edible?]

Refining means to strengthen your equipment with rare metals obtained from monsters and so on. If weapons are refined, their attack power increases. If shields are refined, their defensive power increases and helps to reduce damage from monsters. So you kind of get the gist of it, right?

[Oh... Refining...]

Yeah, that's it. Refining is good, but it can get addicting. I don't usually do it, but I will give you a special chance to experience refining. Whatever level of weapon can be used, it doesn't matter if you use the refining machine Wagjak over there!! I will give you just one refining service free of charge.

[Only once?]

Hey, I need to make a living, you know! Don't go telling everyone I'm doing this for free, okay?"

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Be sure to refine a weapon when using Wagjak to refine. Otherwise the quest won't progress.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

Completion[edit | edit source]

"Did you get a good lesson? Did he explain it well enough?

[He was great.]

Mr. Locas explained it to you well. I see... I will jot that down.

By the way, all explanations about refining are finished. Any further questions?

[I have some questions...]

Ah, is that so? Don't worry. If you have any more questions, come and see me. I will give you full explanations again.

And this is compensation for your lesson. I hope to see you frequently in the future."
