Story[edit | edit source]

SPOILER WARNING: Plot and/or ending details follow.

After a Dandelion Representative and a Mr. R. approached the Assassins Guild for help, Valdes was put in charge of assigning Assassins to each mission. For the Dandelion Representative trying to find the missing children of Morocc, Assassin Cross Kidd was given the task. Assassin Cross Rin recieved bodyguard duty for Mr. R.

Even after accepting both missions, Valdes himself did not trust either parties. They both wore the same clothes and they were both involved in finding the missing children. Although he had his doubts, Valdes was unable to confirm anything as he was not to interfere with the missions of his underlings.

Once Rin questions Valdes about the connection between the Dandelion Representative's target and Mr. R., Valdes began to notice but could not conclude anything until Kidd confirms his suspicions. All too little too late, as Mr. R. had managed to deactivate the magic shield casted upon the Morocc bar they set up as a base of operations and slip away undetected. In response, Valdes sends Kidd and his respective adventurer partner after the revealed Raiyan Moore while he and Rin gathered up all available members of the Assassins Guild to help out.

In the end, Rin blames herself for allowing Raiyan to manipulate her. Valdes feels a sense of regret in accepting the two missions and seeks to make things right. As a first step, he sends Kidd to Prontera for another mission.[1]
