~ Wuhari

Wuhari is a studious Papang Laphine living in Eclage. He regularly writes letters to his older brother Wuhuru and cares about him very much.

Story[]

SPOILER WARNING: Plot and/or ending details follow.

When Wuhari stopped receiving correspondences from his brother Wuhuru, he headed straight over to his brother's Yai on the west side of Eclage to find out that he had been arrested for being involved in some sort of research. After returning home to his Yai on the east side of the city, he encounters an adventurer passing by. He implores the adventurer for a favor and was elated when the adventurer agrees to fulfill it. He then asks the adventurer to deliver a letter to his brother as he is unable to do so himself due to circumstances. The adventurer takes the letter and disappears.

The adventurer returns to tell Wuhari of what happened to his brother. The Laphine notes that Wuhuru was always self-conscious about the way they looked and it was why he made them focus on studying so much. He's not sure how to go about recovering Wuhuru's body and asks the adventurer to find out what happened during the experiment.

The adventurer comes back to deliver Wuhari a Stained Research document that Wuhuru gave to his neighbors Svery and Goatie. Wuhari looks through the sealed document and asks the adventurer if there were any more documents. The adventurer says no and Wuhari is perplexed by the seemingly unrefined list of materials and the method compiled. He points out that the materials included a piece of a high-class Laphine's wing and hair from a Sapha. Hearing that, the adventurer describes how Wuhuru had a big glowing body like a Sapha and wings that were bigger than that of a normal Laphine. Wuhari begins to wonder if the method was meant to merge the unique characteristics of both races. According to the adventurer, Wuhuru had received both materials from a high-class Laphine. Wuhari determines that they would need to find the Laphine that wrote up the research document and ask why it was given to his brother.

Some time later, the adventurer reports back to Wuhari that he/she found the Laphine who created the research document, but he was dead. When Wuhari wonders why, the adventurer suggests that the palace noticed what the Laphine was doing and sent someone to take care of it. The adventurer says that if the experiment had succeeded, it would've involved more lower-class Laphines taking part; it was for the best that Wuhuru failed. Wuhari feels sad for what happened to his brother and becomes determined to get his body back. He asks the adventurer to bring him the materials needed in the research and he will work to find a way to get his brother's body back.[1]
