Breidablik is the sacred temple of the god of light Baldr. According to Fenris Fenrir, the temple was once the holiest place in all of Asgard. It possessed a grand hall and a throne room where Baldr presumably held court.
Some time before his death, Baldr sealed his temple with protective runes so that no one would enter. Within the next thousand years, someone managed to break the seal and placed Gargoyles and Frost Giants inside to keep outsiders from gaining access to Guarding Wind.
Trivia
- In Norse mythology, Breidablik ("broad-gleaming") is the home of Baldr. It is briefly described in Snorri Sturluson's Gylfaginning as one of the halls of Asgard. Breidablik is not otherwise mentioned in the Eddic sources.
