| I recently heard an intriguing rumor being whispered through the wiki grapevine. It would appear that the Wikia staff (now to be referred to as Fandom staff) are planning to change the domain of their wiki platform to Fandom as the final nail in the coffin of the Wikia name.
Reddit Archive In addition to the domain name change, it seems a lot of future changes to the site may result in yet another mass exodus of wiki communities. The changes are said to go into effect early 2019. Although things sound rather dire, I prefer to wait and see what kind of changes are actually going to happen rather than jump the gun. It's possible that one of those pushed changes may be them finally destroying the Special:Forum feature for good, which honestly would push me to focus more on our Gamepedia branch.
