RO2 KharaWindow

The Khara window as seen in RO2.

Towards the beginning of Ragnarok Online II's redevelopment, a sort of alignment system was planned for the game.[1] Referred to as Khara, players can take on certain challenges in order to earn titles that grant certain bonuses.

Khara Missions[]

How the Khara window originally looked like in beta.

When you open up the Khara window, you will be presented with a grid of Khara missions. Unlike the achievement systems of other MMOs, you must challenge a Khara in order to earn the bonuses it provides. To start a Khara mission, click on the box of the mission and click on the Challenge button below to begin it.

When you challenge a Khara mission, a little black box will appear on the mission's square. Click on it to check it and it will be added to the Khara tab on your quest tracker. You can only track up to 7 Khara missions at a time.

Types of Kharas[]

There are 3 different types of Khara missions you can take on:

  • Collection
    • You must collect items to complete.
  • Kill
    • Kill certain monsters to complete.
  • Frequency
    • Use skills or do other activities a certain amount of time to complete.

Each Khara mission has requirements which need to be met in order to unlock and challenge them. Some Khara missions only open up when you get to a certain level, others open up once you complete certain in-game quests. A good portion requires payment of Khara Points, which can be earned by completing other Khara missions.

Khara Completion[]

When you complete a Khara mission, a special icon with wings will pop up on your screen to notify you. Each Khara mission offers certain rewards, from Base EXP and Job EXP to special stat titles.

Special bonuses are rewarded when you complete certain sets of Khara missions.
