Wolfchev (Korean: 보르세브) is a researcher working under the Rekenber Corporation and the person responsible for the inhumane experiments performed in the Regenschirm Laboratory.
In the English release of the official Ragnarok webtoon, this character is known as Vorsebe and Borsev.
Personality[]
Wolfchev is abrasive person, with a penchant for threatening others and insulting their intelligence. He's very impatient and gets agitated at anything he perceives to be interrupting his research. However, this changes entirely when the subject of glass beads is brought up, even more so upon having been brought one as a favour. From an irritable scientist Wolfchev turns into a giddy, slightly deranged person who's willing to spend a few minutes to talk about his research—just not in too much detail.[1]
The next time Wolfchev is encountered, he's much more abrasive; the events that transpired between the two quests left him twitchy and agitated - he's quick to run away and prone to random laughing outbursts. After his experimentations turn against him, he becomes much more cooperative and asks for aid.[2]

Beginning his work under Regenschirm after a high recommendation, Wolfchev's aim is to make Normans stronger and more powerful. He believes his work will benefit the entire world, satisfying Normankind's desire to gain power and dominance over the weaker.
Wolfchev's research seems to be held in high regards by the corporation, gaining him the recognition of a genius and "model scientist". He's a respected professional and thus, gets a lot of freedom concerning the specifics of his study. He quickly begins to abuse this trust, moving from experimenting on authorized animal subjects to kidnapping slum residents and using them as his guinea pigs.[3]
He eventually discovers a group of guild elites that included Seyren Windsor and puts a lot of time and work into finding any information they can dig up on them. Once he got enough information, he uses Rekenber's influence in the Schwarzwald Republic to intercept the group and trick them into coming into the laboratory. There, he had the guild elites drugged in order to implant each one of them with a Rune Stone (imitation of Ymir's Heart Piece) and then observe what happens to them. As he watches Seyren's clone and the others, he keeps a clone of Ygnizem Cenia nearby for protection as well as to use for his experiment as he saw fit.
As Wolfchev moves around the laboratory to observe his "children," he is impressed by how Seyren's clone is able to retain his conscience as well as how Cecil is able to tap into the power of her core to fight. However, during the final confrontation with Seyren's clone and the other guild elites, Seyren's clone was somehow able to reach out to Ygnizem's clone and bring her conscience back, allowing her to seriously wound Wolfchev. Wolfchev was able to get away with the use of a Butterfly Wing, but he was still frustrated by how unexpected the whole situation became. He orders Rekenber guards to stop Seyren's clone as scientists struggle to heal his wound.[4] After his secret is compromised, Wolfchev disappears, having moved to the depths of the Regenschirm Laboratory's basement. He continues his research there unknowingly to his employers and the public until adventurers found him out and finally put a stop to his experiments.[5]
